The Monstera Plant is a perennial vine native to tropical rainforests, where it grows to heights of 10 feet or more. Although this plant is commonly called a fiddle-leafed monstera, it is actually named after the Tupi Indians who call it by the same name. In fact, in Brazil, the Monstera plant is considered a sacred and magical plant and is often called 'Jardim dos Sapos' or 'Jardim de Sapo', which means 'Sapo' garden, or 'Sapo' garden.
